At Amar Ghar, we provide assisted living to all who require it during the later part of their life. The goal is to support our residents with the necessities so that they can lead a comfortable stay with their fellow mates. Currently, there are two residential buildings in the same premises. The new residential complex is a RCC Building with two floors connected by a lift that can house 35 residents and the older one has a capacity of fifteen members. We have a team devoted to care for the elders here and also ensure a safe, secured and joyful life for them. An overview of the facilities and services being offered at Amar Ghar:
- Accommodation: All the rooms are fully furnished with an attached bath. With their few personal belongings, residents can start their life with us. Couples are housed in the same room.
- Nutritious meals: A balanced diet is ensured four times daily that starts with the morning cup of tea.
- Additional facilities like laundry, TATA Sky or like connection, are available with an added charge.
- An experienced team caters to all the needs of the residents, anytime of the day and looks after their comfort and safety. Our team is housed in the same premises to ensure 24*7 services for all our residents. Assistance is provided to carry-out the daily activities by the residents, however, if someone desires, can engage their own personal Assistant to do so. Besides the Administrative staff, the team at Amar Ghar comprises a Nursing professional, housekeeping staff, kitchen staff, Security and Ambulance Driver.
- Basic nursing care is provided by our in-house Nurse who checks their vitals periodically, assists the doctors whenever needed, coordinates with the hospitals in case of emergencies or manages an unwell resident by providing her nursing care.
- Regular free health check-ups are being arranged for all the residents from time to time to ensure a positive physical as well as mental well-being.
- A physiotherapist visits the residents on a periodic basis.
- A conducive environment is ensured with a joyful social life by organising events, celebrating special days and festivals, conducting different activities that keep them engaged.
- We manage emergencies in case of serious illness or accidents by taking immediate action of transitioning the Resident to the recommended hospital if needed and after consultation with a Physician. In the event of hospitalisation, the Guardian is informed at the earliest possible for taking over the responsibilities including the treatment, arranging attendants and payment of all medical expenses.
- The last breath: In the unfortunate event of the demise of any Resident, the Amar Ghar Management contacts the Guardian. Due to any unforeseen circumstances, if the Guardian is unable to respond timely within 8 hours, the funeral rites are performed by Amar Ghar as deemed appropriate.
