To perpetuate the memory of Asom Keshari Ambikagiri Roy Chaudhury through social welfare activities and propagation of idiology of national integration , his teaching of philosophy of universal brotherhood, services to the helpless and needy, a charitable Trust named Ambikagiri Memorial Trust with Km Suchibrata Roy Chaudhury as Managing Trustee and eight other Trustee was formed in 1988.

The Trust undertook various welfare activities for women and children, besides Memorial Lectures and publications in memory of late Roy Chaudhury.

The Managing Trustee Km. Roy Chaudhury, in view of problems of health care, shelter, welfare and protection against abuse and exploitation seriously through of a Home for the ageing persons and the Trust constituted a committee for preparation of the project. The Trust on the basis ofthe proposal decided to establishan Old Age Home and in order to spread the activities further and cover large spheres to spread the activities further and cover large spheres a society Ambikagiri Memorial Trust Society was formed in 2001 with 110 Life members and 5 Patrons under patronage of Ambikagiri Memorial Trust and the society was registered under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 in 2002.

To implement the plan, programmes and activities as entrusted by the Trust of the same name and style. To establish and run welfare, literary, cultural and philanthropic activities. To conduct training, research, studies in connection with the welfare of the people. To establish residential and recreational home for the aged. To establish Shelter Home for the destitutes, Vocational training cum Demonstration Centre and Family Counselling Centre. To publish journals, newsletters and other materials for promotion of its objectives etc.
